SERIES OF DUNLEER AREA WATER OUTAGES UNACCEPTABLE – NASH

Local TD Ged Nash has described the series of water outages experienced in the Dunleer area in recent months as “completely unacceptable.”
He said; “The latest outage over the 23rd and 24th January again came with no advance notice. This is not the first time residents have been left in difficulty with an outage experienced earlier this month and on two days over the Christmas period.
“It is not on and Irish Water must explain in clear terms why this is happening so frequently and what they plan to do to resolve the problem in a comprehensive way.
“I have requested a meeting with Irish Water officials on this issue. The problems need to be fixed for good and agency must up their game in terms of communication with local residents.”
